Canadian Embassy Organizes Commercial Visit To Aruba

Oranjestad, February 2016: The Embassy of Canada based in Venezuela recently organized a commercial visit to the various Dutch Caribbean islands, and their first stop was Aruba.

The Canadian diplomatic delegation included Mrs. Waleska Rivera -  Commercial Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner, Mr. Jean- Sebastien Charron - Senior Advisor - Caribbean, Export Development Canada, Mrs. Daniela Oyague - Trade Commissioner (energy sector) and Mr. Victor Stott - Trade Commissioner (education and telecom sector).

The Department of Foreign Affairs in Aruba coordinated their on-island program to include meetings with Director Abath, the Minister of Education Mrs. Hooyboer-Winklaar, the CEO  and the COO of AAA, Mr. Fazio and Mr. Benschop, the management of Utilities Aruba N.V. Mr. Rafine and Mr. Tapias, the representatives of SARFA Mr. Kock and Mr. Croes, the chief advisor to the Minister of Economic Affairs Mr. Arends, the Acting Director of the Aruba Chamber of Commerce Mrs. Veldhuizen as well as a meeting with the representatives of the Ministry  of Finance.

Presented Mr. Abath a commemorative coffee table book on Canada as a token of a appreciation for his collaboration in making their visit a success.
